The answer to the question is, no. It is not possible to open 2 Zerodha Demat accounts in the same name.

One PAN number can only have one Demat account under one broker.

If you already have an account with Zerodha, you can open a new Demat account with a different broker like Upstox, 5Paisa, ICICI Direct etc. There is no limit to the number of Demat accounts.

However, if you are the owner of a company or a partner in a partnership firm – you can open a second Demat account with your company PAN number.

This way, you will have one individual Demat account in Zerodha and a second non-individual Demat account once again with Zerodha.
